The pristine waters of this section on the North Saluda River take paddlers through rural mountain countryside. Short in distance, this trip is quick and beginner friendly.

 295 River Road, Marietta, SC 29661
Access Details

This river access is 600 feet west of the US 25 bridge, river-right. Pull cars completely off of the road and park in the clearing. Follow the trail 700 feet to the river.

Access Details

Roadside parking is available along Old Settlement Road, river-left. Access the river under the Highway 11 bridge.

Trip Details

Old Settlement Road is a short 5 minute drive away; shuttling cars would be quick and easy. The River Road access is located 600 feet west of the US 25 bridge, river right. Pull cars completely off the road and park in the clearing. Follow the trail 700 feet to the river. Old Settlement Road is the first bridge paddlers will come across, and should take out river left underneath the bridge. There is a high potential for woody debris along this section; paddlers should use caution at all times. For more information see The Upper Saluda River Blueway map.
