What to Expect

360-acre Lake Juniper and the surrounding cypress wetlands can be explored by canoe and kayak. The park offers canoe, kayak, and SUP rentals. Be sure to check out the Moonlight Canoe Floats happening through the summer and fall for a unique paddling experience!

Trip Details

Lake Juniper is lined with cypress wetlands, making for diverse and exciting paddling opportunities. There are other recreational amenities at the park, including an extensive trail system, a golf course, and good fishing. 

The park is home to a longleaf pine ecosystem, which hosts the endangered red-cockaded woodpecker.

Canoes, kayaks, and stand-up paddle boards are available for rent on a seasonal basis. Visit the Cheraw State Park website for more details.
