We paddled this on September 7, 2024 as a tour group through the park. Trips were $10 and included all gear (canoes) and park admission. Adam was our guide and did a great job informing us of the area which was the 1st canal ever built in America. Beautiful place to paddle and lots of walkways to paddle under. We saw a couple of baby alligators at one of the launch sites.

Paddled 7/28/24. Staff at park are amazingly helpful. Start of place to put in is at the edge of the parking lot, to the left of the raised garden beds. Go through the trees and down a long gravel path. Wear water shoes with good soles. Saw a handful of baby alligators at launch site, and a handful as we paddled. Really neat to see vegetation in the shallow canal water.
